01 /Why it matters

Your website says you’re good. Authority proves it.

Anyone can claim to be the best plumber or dentist in town. Google looks for confirmation elsewhere: consistent listings, links from respected local and industry websites, mentions in the press and a steady stream of genuine reviews.

Those signals decide who appears in the map pack and who gets trusted with the click. The businesses that rank consistently are usually the ones the rest of the web already vouches for.

03 /Citation audit

One business. Five different stories.

Most local businesses are listed with old addresses, wrong numbers or different names. Toggle the clean-up to see what consistency looks like.

1/5listings match

The same business, listed five different ways. Old addresses, a mobile number and a misspelt name all compete with each other.

Illustrative example for a fictional business.

What is authority building?

It’s the work of getting other trusted websites to confirm that your business is real, relevant and respected: accurate listings, links from local and industry sources, press mentions and reviews. Google uses these signals to decide who to trust and rank.

What’s the difference between a citation and a backlink?

A citation is a mention of your business name, address and phone number, usually on a directory or map app. A backlink is a link from another website to yours. Both matter for local search, in different ways.

Why do inconsistent listings matter?

Different addresses or phone numbers across the web confuse customers and make it harder for Google to be sure the details are right. Fixing them is often the quickest authority win.

Do you buy links?

No. Bought links and link networks break Google’s guidelines and can get a site penalised. Every link we build comes from a real, relevant source.

How many links will I get each month?

We don’t sell links by the dozen. A handful of relevant, trusted sources beats hundreds of weak ones, so we agree targets based on quality and report on every one.

How long does it take to see results?

Citation fixes can help within weeks. New links and reputation build over months, and their effect grows as they add up.
